Reflecting upon the sun that shines and the air that surrounds. Many travels and journeys lay ahead. I am planning to take in and appreciate all that life has prepared in this story.
Barcelona is interesting. It is a place where you can't trust anyone at all. It has beautiful architecture. It is my birthday today but I would much rather spend it with the people that I care about. I am not fond of the idea of having people I just met tag along when we all go out. Gaudi is impressioning. I can't believe that people had such genius such a long time ago His works are massive fantasmagorical works that were way ahead of their time. I am not fond of looking out the balcony and having a stranger start talking to me. I just don't think that I am in the mood. I am so tired and I just want to go home. I want to be with the people I care about. I am tired of meeting strangers. I am tired of running into people I don't like and trying to runaway and hide to avoid them. I'm sorry but I love Barcelona. I like being able to talk in another language other than English and understanding. It's nice. However, it's not nice when someone goes out for a walk and has to return in 10 minutes saying that they got robbed. It's also not nice when someone gets on the train and turns around to realize that their wallet has just been grabbed as the doors closed. This town is not safe at all for tourists. The beach is okay. It is sandy therefore messy. I slightly miss the rock beaches of Nice although they hurt more. I really like the shops around here. I finally got sick of gelato. I can't believe the extent of which it takes to complete a massive cathedral. It's like the medieval and gothic churches took centuries to complete. The Sagrada Familia has already taken over 100 years to build and it is no where near complete yet it is so fascinating.

12.4.2016 ... I needed to read that and rewrite that journal entry today.
I will go back to Barcelona. I will be in great company. I am the same but I am also different. I look forward to the days where I am sitting under the Spanish sun. I am thankful to all the kind people that invite strangers and allow them to be a part of something different. Yes, it will exhausting. It will be worth it. Does the exhaustion outweight the emptiness? How can I feel complete again? Do I have to be complete? It is like water in a container, closed enviroment. Evaporation. Condensation. Precipitation.
I feel like I am condensating. Everything will be let go soon. I am surrounded by wonderful people.
We began the day with a delicious brunch at SILVER Diner in Bethesda. Bethesda is a nightmare to navigate with its one way roads and no left turn areas. It is a maze and a parking is limited. There are several parking garages hidden in between the buildings. I am sure that if you knew the layout of the city it would not be as frustrating. Perhaps the scariest thing is all the cyclists and pedestrians on the roads and other drivers looking for parking as well.
Weekends are busy. Nights perhaps? I would go to see something in the theatre perhaps or for Sushi or Chocolate. Donuts eventually.
ANYWAYS... SILVER Diner - outdoor birthday brunch party under heatlamps in the cool shade in front of SILVER. We had the greatest server who took care of us and understood our group. He would eventually reconnect with us at the end of the night.
After brunch, we split ways and confirmed our field trip plan. We had chaperones and got to ride on the metaphorical bus to our destinations. We tried to make it to the National Arboretum and we briefly enjoyed the friendship garden before the park closed. Another day, another adventure.
We wanted to be near trees. We decided to go to the Jefferson Memorial. Getting there was a journey. As you get closer to the basin, parking becomes more limited and there are more highways than streets. We ended up parking near a school field off 9th Street in DC. Along the walk, we came across The Wharf in DC. http://www.wharfdc.com/
The project is under development and it is in a prime location. So far we discovered the Fish Market and a beautiful grassy hill where people could sit and enjoy the sunset.
We walked across bridges and parkways to get to the Jefferson Memorial. Our first stop was the bathroom. Waiting for the bathroom was awful but it reminded me of the tourist experience. There were visitors from all around the world. There were some really cool displays under the memorial. We went past the monumental scultupre to appreciate the less crowded backside of Jefferson. We walked beyond to discover giant steps that led down to the river. Was sat upon them and I played with my hoop on the grassy space directly in front of use. We enjoyed the sunset and watching airplanes landing at Reagan National Airport.
From there we reconnected at home base to recharge before making our way to a housewarming. Our group from earlier in the day were there and ready to share their day's adventure. We had a very long day but it was really nice to come back together to our familiar group. I love my festival family! 5 birthdays and a housewarming!
I was also exposed to Lin-Manuel Miranda and HAMILTON.
"Don’t arrive with too much of an agenda: sure, if you’re a Barça fan you might find the stadium tour unmissable; if you love art you’ll want to check out the Picasso Museum and maybe the MACBA, but the real pleasure of Barcelona is in the wandering about, so allow plenty of time for simply mooching."
Drafts, prototypes, revisions. I need to keep working. I keep getting distracted. I love the distractions.
GOOGLE DRIVE personal vs. work? Separation? MUSIC.

DRINK WATER.
I decided I am not going to apply for SOMA ... The deadline is February 2nd.
I am going to look for more programs and opportunities.
I need to work really hard this year and or make my time worth it. I want to travel. I want to live abroad. Those are goals. Why? I don't quite understand. I don't comprehend. I have many goals. I feel some are silly. I am progressing towards all of them. I love my life. I feel blessed. I am thankful. What do I do?
