Warszawa

I am going to try my best to see David Bowie in Warsaw. I just heard "Warszawa" for the first time. I found the above article sharing his brief history in the city. After his death, the city commemorated him with a mural in the Zoliborz district.

I recently saw Seu Jorge perform at the Kennedy Center with the NSO a Life Aquatic Tribute to David Bowie Concert. I cried during the first song and so many times throughout. I never expected such a reaction but these songs were the songs I grew up with. I will never see David Bowie but I had a chance to watch the man perform the songs he translated to  Portuguese from David Bowie. I was in high school when Wes Anderson's Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou was released. I loved the songs. I recognized them and learned to discover and love David Bowie beyond the version in the "Labyrinth" (1986). Each time I would recognize him, my heart would flutter. He played Andy Warhol in "Basquiat" (1996) and Tesla in the "Prestige"(2006). I would sing to "China Girl" whenever the song played in "The Wedding Singer" (1998).

Like the Boston of Poland they say.
